Tracing Edmund Holdsworth: Where My Story and His Begin
Born in Bradford, England raised on stubbornness and Yorkshire weather. The Holdsworths weren’t famous, but they were everywhere, in the mills, on the land, dodging tax collectors and occasionally making suspicious life choices. This is their story, stitched together from wool, records, and a whole lot of guesswork.
Born in 1822 in Bradford, Yorkshire, Edmund Holdsworth was the kind of man who didn’t leave behind much chatter but left just enough clues to keep a researcher up at night. He lived through the height of the Industrial Revolution, crossed the Atlantic, and quietly reinvented himself in a way that still raises eyebrows.
Given how much ground Edmund’s story covers, from parish records to passenger lists to a suspicious name change, this section is broken into several Sections. Each one follows a different thread in his life, piecing together the man behind the records.
This is history meets mystery with a Yorkshire accent.
